July 16th, Adira leads a dance lesson - salsa and cha cha - (8pm) before Primo Cubano fires it up at One Longfellow Square with traditional Cuban music.
Never tried? Come and give it a whirl! Great exercise and a lot of fun! Jenny will make you a hoop and teach you how to get your hoop on! WHOO HOO! Found a new location for the classes on July 25th and August 22nd, Pulse Dance Space in Westbrooke.
10 am - 12 noon Hoop 1; entry level - an intro to hoop basics. All welcome.
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm Hoop 3; We will review and troubleshoot what we learned in Hoop 2. Get your questions ready! We will continue to learn new ways of transitioning the hoop on and off the body. We will learn how to corkscrew (hoop from above the head to waist and waist to above the head) with our 2nd hand. We will learn how to hoop at an Angle. How to shimmy your hoop from you waist to your neck and beginning tips on how to build toward Chest Hooping. A new jump through and more! Please have attended hoop 1.

Done ’til September, but…What is bellyrobics? Watch us in action on Channel 6: click here. Experience levels of none to tons are welcome! Come and join in the fun: All you need for this class is a body and your sense of fun and humor. Bellyrobics is appropriate for any level of fitness and stage of life. Please wear clothes in which you can move comfortably and if you like, bring a scarf to wrap around your hips. Be ready to move, have fun, meet great women, sweat a little and laugh a lot! Bring a mat and water. Advanced dancers - bring your zils (muffled) if you like.

$4 drop in, or a 10 class punch card good at any of my classes for $35 - no expiry, and you can share them! Drop in anytime - classes are not sequential. You do not need to be a Portland Resident to take class. Make sure you bring a mat, sneakers and water bottle to all classes. FMI click here.
