Zumba combines high energy and motivating Latin and international music with unique moves and combinations to dance away your stress and burn calories. Based on the principle that a workout should be
“FUN AND EASY TO DO!”
Zumba is a “feel-happy” workout that is great for both the body and the mind.
Emma will be teaching 5 weekly classes starting September 2008:
Mondays and Thursdays 5:30 - 6:30 pm through Portland Adult Ed

Zumba! Los bailarenes de Zumba participaran en un trabajo fisico y mental agradable y facil al ritmo de la mejor musica latina e los otros paises.
Zumba es un fusion de bailes latinos (salsa, merengue, cumbia, etc.) y internacionales con movimientos energeticos.
La Zumba utiliza los principios de entrenamientos intervalos musculares y cardiovasculares para lograr una resultado fisico positivo y effectivo a largo plazo.

A strong body help you deal easily with daily challenges. A warm-up will lead us into cardiovascular and strength exercises suitable for all bodies - beginner through athlete. We will use both body weight and resistance tubing (provided) for a complete workout. A good stretch will be included at the end of class (stretching straps provided).
Please bring sneakers, a mat and water bottle to class.

Energizing low-impact CARDIOVASCULAR exercise to boost metabolism, Resistance Training to BUILD MUSCLE, Pilates-style ABS and BACK and relaxing STRETCHES at the end of class. What more could you ask for? Please bring sneakers, a mat and water bottle to class.

Pilates exercises we have been doing in class;
1) 100 2) rollup 3) single leg circles 4) series of 5; single leg stretch (knee into chest and switch); double leg stretch (curl into ball, then extend out and back in) Single straight leg stretch (climb up one leg, reach out with other, switch); double straight leg stretch (hands behind head, both straight legs up); criss cross . 5) swimming (on belly, flutter arms and legs)
